Express Fasteners Maintains a State-of-the-Art Quality Control Lab

Express Fasteners conducts rigorous quality assurance testing on fasteners in our in-house quality control lab. Fasteners and related components are tested against stringent quality measures to guarantee performance and compliance for the following metrics based on industry standards or specific requirements:

  • Torsional strength
  • Ductility
  • Hydrogen embrittlement
  • Material testing
  • Hardness testing
  • Dimensional testing

Lot Control & Traceability – Fastener Components and Packaging

Each Express Fasteners product and package includes lot control markings and labeling. These unique numbers and barcodes help our customers easily identify specific fasteners in the future, and if necessary, trace them back to their original manufacture date and location with ease.

ISO 9000 Certified Fastener Company & Other Industry Certifications

Express Fasteners is an ISO 9000 certified company. Our expert team adheres to the highest industry standards and practices in support of our clients’ business goals and requirements.

Additionally, Express Fasteners can certify for our customers’ industry specifications, compliance requirements and when necessary, provide certification and test reports. We can certify to a variety of manufacturers’ standards including unique customer print specs. As an example, a few of our quality assurance provisions include ASME, ANSI, IFI, ASTM, SAE, MILITARY, RoHS, ISO, DIN and JIS.

Hydrogen Embrittlement Testing

All fasteners susceptible to hydrogen embrittlement undergo thorough Hydrogen Embrittlement Testing (HGE Test) according to latest IFI and SAE fastener standards. As part of this testing process, precautions, such as 4-8 hour baking after the electroplating process, are undertaken to eliminate hydrogen that was absorbed into the fastener or trapped during the plating process. These tests help to prevent material failure and ensure the quality of Express Fasteners’ components.
